Gentlemen:
We are pleased to report on the firm referred to in your letter of 20 May as follows.
The Haesung Ind. Co., Ltd. were established in 1950 as General Importers and Exporters, with an authorized capital of \100,000,000 fully paid-up. The net worth at the end of last year exceeded \150,000,000 about half of which is readily realizable. Their main lines are cotton goods, especially cotton sewing threads, shirtings and ducks. Their business policy has been very active, and they have many connections both at home and abroad.
They have maintained a current account with us for more than ten years, always to our satisfaction and their latest financial statements show a healthy condition.
We are of opinion that they may be rated as AI and you would not run the least risk in opening a connection with them.
For this information, we do not like to accept any responsibility, but, we shall be pleased to be of any further service to you if you require more details.
The enclosed note shows the charges which we have paid on your behalf, for which we ask you to settle soon. |
